Guided Hands, a new beginning

At Guided Hands, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to excel in life. We offer dedicated support and guidance, empowering parents to confidently navigate the unique journey of raising neurodiverse children. You're not alone; together, we'll equip you to manage challenging situations and celebrate every success.

Your journey, our support

The inspiration for Guided Hands comes from a deeply personal place. Having experienced the lengthy waitlists for diagnosis and the daily trials of neurodiversity with my own children, I understand the profound sense of isolation and challenge. There were times when I questioned my parenting abilities and struggled to understand why seemingly simple tasks felt overwhelmingly difficult. This journey, which at times was a lonely one, ignited a desire to create the support system that I so desperately needed and can now offer to other families.

Based on personal experience

After ten years of 'hands-on parenting' alongside 25 years of teaching and senior leadership experience, I realised my unique blend of personal insight and professional expertise could guide others. As a teacher, I excelled at helping children to develop the self-confidence and strength of character needed to achieve their full potential. Now, I utilise this combined knowledge to offer the practical help and compassionate understanding that I was once desperate for, to support families in a similar situation.

A holistic and empathetic approach

At Guided Hands, our approach is rooted in understanding, compassion, and tried-and-tested strategies. We offer a wealth of knowledge, practical advice, and insights into routines, behaviour management and the development of life skills. We use a full range of approaches including natural healing practices. Having experienced first-hand both the highs and lows, we can empathise fully with your journey.

We view each child as a unique individual, offering specific suggestions to help them to navigate life whilst promoting self-confidence and self-belief . This is so much more than a business; it stems from a deep passion for guiding parents and enabling children with neurodiversity to flourish in an increasingly challenging world.

"Guided hands gave us the confidence and strategies we needed to truly understand and support our child. We no longer feel isolated; our child is flourishing."

A grateful parent from Loughborough
